Our Staff

Vera Ginness is the office manager at the Florida Center for Urogynecology, and she has worked with Dr. Pollak since the center opened. She has an extensive background working in medical offices, and is very knowledgeable regarding insurances and the coordination of care. Vera also handles all surgical scheduling and insurance authorizations for surgery. Sasha is our receptionist. She will likely be the first person to greet you and the last person to say farewell at our office. She will schedule appointments, assist you with authorizations and referrals, and handle your phone calls. Our office is completely computerized, and Sasha will enter all your information into our system. Please understand that there is a great deal of information we need to enter into the computer in order to safely and efficiently care for you and this can be time consuming. Please help Sasha by having your primary physician’s contact information, including fax number, your insurance information, and your pharmacy information. Please realize that once you are in our system, we can carryout your care much more efficiently. For example, with our computer system, your prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy. If you provide us with your email, you can also participate in the Patient Portal. This allows you to receive lab results and communicate with us electronically regarding non-urgent matters. The Patient Portal is secure and HIPPA compliant. Our medical assistants are Ashley and Yelenny, and they will assist Dr. Pollak and the PA’s with your examinations and the coordination of your labs. They also assist with patients’ pelvic muscle rehabilitation therapy program, one of the treatments available to many of our patients. They will review your medical history including medical diseases, past surgeries, and your medications. We would like to keep this information updated in our computer system, so please inform them of changes.
